WELCOME TO STAR STUDDED SATURDAY! Just kidding this is not some elaborate show, just me telling you about my favourite print of all time. If you haven't guessed what it is by now, it is star print! This post is long overdue considering how long I have been obsessed with stars. Well, better late than never. It is probably my love for David Bowie and the Ziggy Stardust vibes this print radiates that gets me starstruck every time I see it. Wow how about we count how many star puns are used in this post. The star print is so fun and edgy, it adds such a cool look to any outfit. A barely there star print on a blouse or down the sleeve of a leather jacket. Or be bold and have the print large and in charge. Whether you are minimalistic or outlandish find a style that works for you. Star boots are all the rage, just saying. You can only imagine how ecstatic I was last year during the Tommy Hilfiger Spring Summer 15' Show. Ahhhh it was out of this world. Ha ha ha. The One Teaspoon Le Punk Saint jeans are my dream pants... I won't be satisfied until they are hanging dreamily in my closet. Nasty Gal is also on top of every trend, every time I am in search of something I go to their website, do a quick search and all is well.

YouTube Announcement | L A T E R

It feels like it has been centuries since I have filmed a YouTube video! Okay, that was a bit dramatic, it has been a year. Still, that is so long ahhhh. My friend Megan left the city for the summer so I decided to take a hold of the opportunity and film a video montage of our last night together.

 Megan, my roommate Annie and I went out for drinks at a rooftop bar called The Porch. If you are ever in Toronto you HAVE to go... They have these drinks called Buckets and they are so delicious. Other than that it is just a cool place to hang with friends and have a spectacular view of the cityscape. After that, we went to a concert to see a band called Mothxr, lead singer also known as the one and only lonely boy aka Dan Humphries aka Gossip Girl. As one would expect, we were gushing. That's about it.

LET'S TALK ABOUT | 90s Silk Slip

Alright folks, I decided to start a new feature on my blog called "Let's Talk About" because I have so much to talk about. Soooooo in this feature, I will choose something to talk about whether that be a fashion item, social issue, new restaurant... and so on. Literally anything that seems to be on my mind. 

The 90s are back and better than ever. Today we are talking silk slips! Walking down the street in your silk slip dress the average joe may assume you forgot to change out of your pajamas, but he is so wrong. Jokes on him you've had this planned the whole time. I am in love with this trend and I need to get my hands on a slip A$AP Rocky so I can do a styled post. The slip is such an amazing basic that no one even thinks about applying to their wardrobe. You can toss it on over a t-shirt and jeans or throw on a chunky knit and some strappy heel and BAM you are good to go.

COACHELLA | Weekend 1

It's that time of year again, Coachella!!! This is my favourite time of the year to be scrolling through Instagram, all the updates from across the world at your fingertips. If you're like me and cannot be in Cali living it up at the real thing, then living vicariously through all the outfit inspo is the next best thing. Is it just me or can we all say crochet is OUT? There is so much edge this year I love it, I never was a sucker for crochet. Bombers, lace, chokers, band tees and so much layered jewelry you become 10 lbs heavier. Ahhh Coachella. 

As weekend one come to an end I have compiled SOME of my favourite insta looks. They just keep on coming, it was so hard to choose... anyway...

Coachella Bandana | DIY

I was in free people the other week and saw a bandana that was to die for. Bandanas have been a recent obsession of mine so when I saw this I had to have it, but couldn't bear to pay fifty dollars for it... So I thought since Free People is stocked with the ultimate festival wear and it is Coachella season I would do a little DIY. 

It's all about the accessories to complete that Coachella outfit and a bandana to keep the dust out of your face it key. I'm sure you all have a bandana laying around your house from your childhood camp days, so why not take that old bandana and make it new! Keep the dust out of your face and look cool while doing it. (Or just pretend you are at Coachella, but are actually studying for exams like me.)

All you need is; a bandana, old jewellery/ chains from the craft store, pliers, marker, ruler, thread and a needle.

1. Start by taking the pliers and removing the chains from the base of the necklace. This step may not apply to everyone depending on the jewels you decide to use, but you get the gist of it. 

2. They should look something like this when you are done. 

3.  Fold the bandana in half, take the marker and make a dot where you want each jewellery piece to go. I started at the centre point and made each dot 1 inch apart.

4. THREAD THAT NEEDLE!!!

5. Begin to sew on each piece by hand. Be sure to only sew through the top layer!

6. Sew until you have your desired look.

It's that time of the week again! Or should I say month.. I have been super busy and haven't been able to update much lately, but I am back hopefully for good. Anyway for this week we have probably one of the biggest spring trends, sneakers! I am so excited about this trend. They are perfect for all ages and literally any outfit. From dresses to jeans you are destined to look awesome in a pair of sneaks. Here are a few of my favourites; I personally own the Adidas Stan Smith and they are by far my best splurge in a while, I cannot get enough of them.. After giving those a test run I am dying to get my hands on a pair of the Adidas Superstars. Oh, and I cannot forget the Comme Des Garcons x Converse.. those have been on my mind for ages. Although all of these are a little pricey you can always pick up a pair of converse to cut the price, They are such a classic sneaker you cannot go wrong, My favourites are the high tops in white, black or all black.
